Lares Energy is an independent investment holding company. We commit our own capital, alongside that of our investors, to real assets and infrastructure — from payment rails to energy. We select a small number of deals and follow each one from origination through to day-to-day management.
Who we are
A firm of practitioners, not just another fund.
Lares Energy was built by people who have held senior positions in investment banks, industrial companies, insurance broking and advisory firms.
Our skills range from leasing to project finance, from project engineering to risk management. That combination lets us look at a transaction as a whole — the model and the plant, the contract and the construction site — rather than from one side of the table only.
We put our own capital into the projects we develop. It is a choice that forces discipline on us and lets us move quickly, without unnecessary intermediaries.
What we do

We do more than provide capital. Depending on the project we act as investors, as developers or as managers — often in all three roles at once.
Direct investment
We commit our own capital to real assets with predictable cash flows and a long-term horizon.
Development & project finance
We structure the deal from origination: permitting, contracts, bank debt and equity.

We stay with the project after launch: performance, maintenance and partner relations.

We open our transactions to private and institutional investors who share our horizon.

We would rather hold a small number of projects we can see clearly than a broad portfolio held at arm’s length. For each deal we work with a carefully selected network of financial institutions, law firms and engineering companies.
